The Ardmore area has traditionally been a ranching, agriculutral and oil related area in past years and the oil bust in the mid 1980's left our area reeling with the excesses of the time.  Since then, community efforts to expand into numerous other business, manufacturing and distribution have diversified this trade area which is about 4th in the state behind the metro areas.  Some of the things that have been said about us appear below:
